We realize that as a member of the local community you likely desire to partner with organizations making an impact to the Goshen Area and beyond.

The Vine Church and our Reach 2024/2025 campaign is exactly that.
Since 2014 The Vine Church has been helping families and individuals address core systemic issues in many ways:

We Help Those In Financial Need

We have helped hundreds address poverty with classes designed to help families get out of debt and address financial issues they face. 

We Help  Domestic Violence Victims

We have partnered with local law enforcement to help victims of abuse get out of destructive situations and get back on their feet.

We Help Communities Abroad

We have worked within our community and abroad with service projects that directly affect the local community and serve foreign missions in places like Uganda, Nicaragua and Ukraine. 

We Help With Disaster Relief

The Vine ongoingly invests a percentage of all funds that come in through regular tithes and income towards community outreach and crisis help as well as Disaster Relief through Convoy of Hope.

Community Impact

At The Vine Church, we believe impacting our community is vital. So, our goal is to provide a safe space for others to encounter Jesus and experience authentic relationships and community. The Vine Church seeks to equip our community to further the mission and vision of Jesus Christ, both inside our church community and into the city of Goshen and beyond. Here are past and current examples of how your partnership will continue the work that has been started.

Reach 2024/2025 will help us continue to partner with our local community serving in ways that make a practical difference:

Neighborhood

Our average attendance is an estimated 350-400 people per Sunday (and growing!). Our surrounding neighborhood consists of the following communities we aim to serve and impact which is a total of an estimated 1,300 homes.
Brookside Manor
Manufactured home community with 571 homes.
Maple Leaf Commons
Senior living apartment complex with 48 units.
Remaining Neighborhoods
There is an estimated 700 homes in the remaining residential areas around The Vine.

Healthy Churches Positively Impact Community

A study by research group Barna indicates healthy churches play an essential part in influencing the community to become better and healthier and this remains our commitment. One of the ways we already do this is by providing volunteer hours to residents of the Elkhart County Community Corrections.

The Vine Family

We are a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Jesus Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. The majority (70%-80%) of our congregation are young families who have been following Jesus for two years or less.

Our Building

Our building has many opportunities for expansion to better serve our community and with your partnership we can achieve this together. When we complete phase 1, we will build (for the first time ever) a second floor to our cafe to better serve Goshen college students and our community.

Our Financial Plan

The following plan we believe is the most optimal way to maximize our impact on the community of Goshen, Indiana in the shortest amount of time. The plan consists of three phases all occurring within the next 5 years. Your choice to partner with us, will certainly help us fulfill this plan.

Phase 1

Raise $200k To Pay Off Investor Loan
Benefits:
  • Saves $725 per month.
  • Allows additional funds to go towards mortgage.
  • Brings mortgage that started at $1.6 million to $900k.
  • Increases healthy equity with our current building.

Target completion year: 2024

Phase 2

Raise $50k For Outreach & Building Improvements
Benefits:
  • Allows space for more outreach and events.
  • Improves the use and value of the building.
  • Creates space for college students and young adults to study and engage in ministry.
  • Additional leftover funds will go towards paying down mortgage.

Target completion year: 2025

Phase 3

Raise $450k To Pay Off Half Of Mortgage
Benefits:
  • Brings mortgage balance down to around $400k
  • Lowers monthly payment from $8,500 to $4,000 per month
  • A large amount of monthly income to flow into ministry areas while simultaneously paying down mortgage.
  • Extra $4,500 per month in capital creates opportunities to build staff, increase ministry and other possibilities for future growth and longevity.

Target completion year: 2026

Phase 4

Raise $325k To Pay Off Of Mortgage & Become Debt-Free
Benefits:
  • Pay off remaining mortgage balance of an estimated $325k.
  • Eliminates all debt which started at $1.6 million.
  • Church will officially be debt-free.
  • Frees up $8,500 of capital which originally went towards debt payments will now go to ministries, staffing and community impact.
  • Statistically, debt-free churches have great impact on their community.

Target completion year: 2029
