Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in Central America, and many communities face challenges like limited access to education, healthcare, and basic necessities. Your involvement can bring tangible change to these communities. The purpose of your mission trip to Nicaragua is to edify the local church, to provide support, friendship and Christian love to the people of Ciudad Sandino, Managua, Nicaragua and to grow the Kingdom of God.

Trip Cost

Praying Pelican Missions fee: $749 per person
Airfare: Approximately $600-$800
Ministry Money: $100 per person
Lodging: $15 per night per person ($90/person for the week)
Total: Approximately $1,700

Travel Costs

New Passport: $165 ($130 Application fee + $35 execution fee)
Note: If you would like to expedite it, it will be an additional $60.
Renewing Your Passport: $130 (Both Adult and Youth to adult renewal)
Note: If you are changing from your youth passport to an adult passport, you will be required to go in person. | Also note: If your passport will expire within 6 months of our travel dates you will need to get a new one prior to our trip.
Nicaragua Visitor Card: $10 U.S. Cash (Required)
Personal Checked Luggage is your responsibility, regardless of price. If a team leader makes you take an additional bag, the fee will be provided for you. Meals in the airport are your responsibility, as well as snacks and souvenirs.
$150 Commitment Deposit (nonrefundable) is due no later than March 16,
2025.
$300 First Payment will be due April 18, 2025
There will be a team meeting on the weekend of April 13, date TBD
Note: You may turn in deposits and payments at the Welcome Center. Please make sure your deposits are in a sealed envelope labeled with your full name and the words 'Nicaragua Trip' on the outside of the envelope.
